Symptoms of Childhood Cancer
Continued, unexplained weight loss
Headaches, often with early morning vomiting
Increased swelling or persisten pain in bones, joints, back or legs
Lump or mass, especially in abdomen, neck, chest, pelvis or armpits
Development of excessive bruising, bleeding or rash
Constant infections
A whitish color behind the pupil
Nausea, which persists or vomiting without nausea
Constant tiredness or noticeable paleness
Eye or vision changes, which occur suddenly and persist
Recurrent or persistent fevers of unknown origin
It is our sincere hope that your child is never diagnosed with cancer. As a parent, you need to be aware of the symptoms of childhood cancer. Observe your child for any sudden, persistent changes in health or behavior as listed above. Since most of the symptoms oc cancer can also be attributed to denign conditions, the diagnosis of cancer can be a long procss. You must trust your own instinct and work as a team with your doctor, using your knowledge of your child and your doctor's knowledge of medicine to protect your child's health.

Camp Mak-a-Dream is operated by Children's Oncology Camp Foundation and is a medically supervised, cost-free camp for children (ages 6-13), teens (ages 14-18) and young adults (ages 18-25) with cancer and their siblings (ages 6-17). The facility is located approximately 65 miles east of Missoula, Montana on I-90 at the Gold Creek exit, just 3/4 of a mile south of the Interstate.
Camp Quality of Northwest MO Jakob has ben attending this camp since he was 4. Is a week long summer camp for kids with cancer. The camp is run by volunteers and funded by donations from the community.
